Background:
Toronet is a chain built for our communities. With affordable and fast transactions, Toronet can be used for real-world use in communities that have limited access to financial services. Toronet is feeless, has 2s average transaction times, and instant finality. The purpose of the hackathon is to reach developers and project owners in this community and have them built on a platform truly developed with the features to serve our communities.
Target Group (Skills):

Solidity EVM and Web3 developers
Problem Statement:
Design a draft concept of an application that solves a problem in your community. Develop the concept into smart contracts on Toronet and illustrate basically how the application would function to solve the problem.
Tracks
Financial Applications - For instance, projects that target funding for specific groups within communities such as farmers, market women/men, work tools, financing SDGs, etc.
Operational Applications - Projects that provide means to facilitate operational access or efficiencies in areas such as health care, transportation, etc.
Environmental Applications - Projects that address environmental challenges within the communities, or address the global SDG goals.
Social Applications - Applications targeting social interaction within the communities including in the area of entertainment, content creation and rewards, positive group engagements, etc.
Cooperative and Community Applications - Applications built focusing on specific community activities.
Technology Applications - Projects that solve certain technical challenges within their communities.
Miscellaneous - Any project that you believe does not fall into any of the above tracks.
Get on-chain rewards and proof of work
Each winner will be rewarded with stable coins directly paid to their wallet. Each participant, who submitted a project will receive an NFT as proof of their work.

Toronet platform is focused on projects with real-world applications and value in underbanked communities and has provided resources to promising projects developing valued applications in such communities. Bootstrap grants are provided based on the real-world application of the projects within these target communities.

Submission Requirements
We are looking for use cases that are focused on developing actual and real solutions to financial, operational, or logistic challenges within their communities, and potential for such projects to build a sustainable commercialization model. Barely developing an ERC20 token or any token with little to no purpose will not be a target use case. This is reflected in the submission requirements
-
Submissions will be done on techFiesta, by linking to your Github repository, which includes a README file with description of your project.
-
One of the following:
-
Deploy at application developed using the Toronet API stack
-
Deploy at least one smart contract on testnet or mainnet. The contract’s address/link can be in the README file
-
-
Have at least 2 successful transactions on your contract within the hackathon timeframe
-
Originality: Submissions must be the original work of the participating team
-
Optional: Add a working deployment link that allows judges to interact with the project. Ensure that the link remains active and accessible throughout the evaluation period. The link can be in the README file
-
Optional: Add a video (1-2 minutes) explaining and showcasing your project. The video link can be in the README file
-
Optional: Make a tweet with your description of your project and hashtags #Toronet and #TechFiesta, also tagging https://twitter.com/toronet
-
You can use the following template for the README file:
